Got you eh? Being politically correct is the opposite of irreverent. While we have nothing to say about Jesus, we do have a great link to a very funny place to buy books. The site is called Quirk books and it packs a plethora of reference books that are well off the Barnes&Noble, Chronicle Books and even Phaidon (great place, still) path. It might even have a good compilation of Jesus Action figures and Catholic iconography but we’ve yet to see anything. Unlike that blinding light that hit us on the road to Detr…oh forget it.

Hi Chris,
I work for Quirk Books and I’d like to say on our behalf, thanks for the kind words! Also, we do boast our own unique take on Catholic iconography.
Our book, which I thoroughly enjoy, called “This Saint’s For You” is 468 pages of Patron Saints. Apparently the Catholics have everything covered: drowning, dysfunctional families, hotel keepers, the makers of playing cards, spelunkers, hangovers, sore throats, girl scouts… Just pray to something and you’re covered! It even features trading-card-esque full-color pictures of the Saints.
Sadly, no Jesus action figures, though. Maybe we can look into it.
Welcome, I’ll have to pass this along to my readers. Lots of people in Minneapolis and Denver. I can’t remember how I stumbled on to you guys but you’re groovy. Share the link.
